6月20日，第九届全国英语口译大赛河北赛区复赛落下帷幕。我校英语专业李林、丁羽翔同学以第一名和第二名的优异成绩获得一等奖，李林同学还获得唯一的“河北省口译之星”称号。么畅、史炎馨、朱子萱、赵楠和刘争五名同学获得二、三等奖，并成功晋级华北赛区复赛。我校学生此次比赛获奖级别和数量均创历史新高。
此次复赛有来自河北大学、河北师范大学等十余所高校的96名优秀学生参加，代表了我省学生口译的最高水平。我校学生在王冬伟、杨青两位老师指导下，克服疫情影响，进行了长时间有针对性的训练，效果突出。此次成绩的取得不但是对师生共同努力的充分认可，也必将激发更多同学对口译学习的热情，使我校外语教学再上新台阶。
全国英语口译大赛由中国翻译协会主办，旨在促进翻译学科建设和语言服务行业的繁荣与发展、培养高素质语言服务人才，更好的服务国家发展大局和国际传播能力建设。
Students of HAU Won Prizes in Hebei Province Quarter-final of 9thAll
China Interpreting Contest
The 9thAll China Interpreting Contest (ACIC) (English) Quarter-final of Hebei Province was successfully concluded on June 20th. 7 English majors of our school achieved excellent performance and won the qualification to North China Regional Contest of the 9thACIC. Among them, Li Lin and Ding Yuxiang won the first prize, and Li Lin, as the champion, was honored “The Interpreting Star of Hebei province”; Yao Chang, Shi Yanxin, Zhu Zixuan, Zhao Nan and Liu Zheng were awarded the second and third prizes respectively. The level and number of our students’ awards in ACIC were at a new record high.
96 students who represented the highest interpreting level of the province from Hebei University, Hebei Normal University and more than 10 other universities participated in the contest. Under the guidance of teachers Wang Dongwei and Yang Qing, despite the inconvenience brought by COVID-19 prevention and control, the students had a targeted training for a long period and finally did an excellent job. The great achievement is the result of teacher and students’ joint efforts and will inspire more students to learn interpreting, which can further improve our school’s foreign language teaching quality.
Directed by Translation Association of China, ACIC aims to advance the construction of translation discipline and boost the language services industry. Better service, therefore, can be provided for the overall national development and the construction of international communication capacity with high-quality language service talents.
